Artist Bio

This is a collection of my paintings over the past few years. The series reflects a long lasting theme I've been developing - the anthropomorphism of the crowd. I'll take a large crowded city scene and break it into individual faces and people to show the human side of the crowd. Both beautiful and ugly creatures get the same attention. Sometimes a piece will focus on an individual character as he or she looks into the urban environment from a distance; but the frenetic energy of the city is always just under the surface.
